Holiday Training Camp gives way to The Borneo Games-1

I am back.
I was disheartened due to poor response from readers and abandoned this blog for some times. I promise I will keep it going no matter what now.

The school holiday training camp conducted by Coach Andy Ng (from KL) in November and by Coach Ms Chow (from China) in December had benefited our players tremendously. They had performed well in the national level competition just completed last week in KL.

Unfortunately this training camp has to give way to the Borneo Games-1 to be held on 17th-21st December 2005.
Hope the Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Association (KKTTA) will have its own training venue in the near future!

Training for KK to resume on 27 August 2005

The KKTTA training centre was closed to table tennis players last week to give way to the Sabah Sukan Ke 2.
The above mentioned sports meet was officially closed yesterday(26 August 2005),and the training centre is open to players again. Everybody please start training today (27 August 2005).We have to get ready for the inpending statewide tourment to be held in Sandakan in September.
As an after thought, table tennis was not one of the events in Sabah Sukan Ke 2,we should work hard to be included in the Sabah Sukan Ke 3 next year!

Welcome

I noticed that very little exposeture is given to the sport of table tennis in Sabah by the local press. Whereas other sports like football and basketball are given coverage everyday, especially in the chinese news papers. I even nicknamed one particular chinese news paper the "basketball news".This papers publishes full pages coverage on basketball matches/tournerments complete with a dozen colour photos daily.
Is the sport of table tennis dead in Sabah? No,NO,No,it is very much alive! Only that it has been ignored by the local press for some reasons. But not to worry,we will give exposeture to our beloved sports ourselves here on this blog, the Sabah Teble Tennis blog!
So please stay tuned.
